[Poetry] Insecurity

Down the street, she walks.

Her gentle big brown eyes hide pretentiously behind the darkest, most expensive pair of designer sunglasses she could find.
Yet they watch like a hawk for her next unsuspecting prey.
Her exquisite lips pursed under a thick coat of Bobby Brown lip gloss.
Her skin stays flawless covered in enough Laura Mercier foundation to paint a house.
Her hair bounces in the wind as her black Christian Louboutin stilettos pound the grey pavement with each forceful step.

Each day, she wakes up and puts on a fierce face, leaving no flaw exposed.
Down the street, she walks.
Intimidating by choice, insecure by nature.
